We know how important it is to plan a project and can offer a range of solutions to meet your requirements.
Wherever you are in the design process, one of our models could push your project forward to the next level. From design concept models to planning application models, we can help. At 360 models, we can tailor your model to suit your needs. For example, if your project is at a stage in the design process where there are several designs. We can construct your model to be interchangeable, with removable sections allowing you to clearly demonstrate the different designs. Attention can be drawn to certain aspects of the design by the use of colour as well as a variety of materials such as wood and plastic. Topographical features can be simplified or accurately reproduced to a high standard. Contact us to discuss your requirements for your model.
Generally there are several types of planning models, below is a short description of the various types of models we can build for you.
If you are looking to display an urban environment to show how the addition of new structures change the context of the current surroundings. A city/site model is what you are looking for, often at scales from 1:2500 to 1:500, it will show the design’s relationship to the existing environment. Buildings are represented as simplified blocks, depending on scale, key features such as recesses and roof design can be included.
Using a block/massing model you can show the relationship of a design with its self, rather than its surroundings. Similar to site/city models but usually at larger scales, the concentration is on proportion, shape and mass of the design rather than finishing details.
At larger scales, features become more prominent although the buildings are still simplified blocks. Details such as recesses, roof design and balconies will give a better idea of the projects design.
Structural and Interior models
Depending on what you would like to show, structural models can vary from basic models that indicate load bearing elements to higher detail models looking at the structural systems of a design. Interior models typically incorporate the highest level of realism with features such as staircases and furniture becoming crucial. Both types are typically built at from scales of 1:100 to 1:5.
Demonstrating and explaining a design in 3 dimensions has something natural about it, helping you display and communicate your project.Contact Us
