Interactive models can be as simple as adding a few lights, to the whole model coming apart. The use of a 3D model is a good way to explain an idea, but if the intended viewer can interact with the model their attention is held for longer, giving more time to sell an idea or explain a theory. These types of models are also used to show the inside of a building to planners where sections can be removed and replaced with alternative designs.
